Summit Lake sits 16 km east of Nakusp: one T-bar, a day lodge and cafeteria, a rental shop, night skiing on Fridays and a trail for cross-country and snowshoes. Run entirely by volunteers, through the Nakusp Ski Club Association.

A single T-bar serves the area, with a day lodge and cafeteria at the bottom and a rental shop for skis, snowboards and snowshoes. Lifts run 10:00 to 15:30, and a half-day ticket starts at 12:30.

Night skiing runs on Fridays — the one evening a week the hill stays lit after dark. There is a cross-country and snowshoe trail as well, for anyone who would rather not ride the lift at all.

The Nakusp Ski Club Association is a non-profit society, and every job here is done by a volunteer. In 2022 the club put out an appeal headlined "Volunteers Needed To Keep Summit Lake Open!" — and it said, plainly, that without more help there may be no local ski hill.

A pass bought in autumn is what pays for winter
Summit Lake sells season passes at an early-bird price and a regular price. When the club last published them it kept both at the previous year's rates — in its own words, pass prices are remaining the same as last year.

A short season, and one late night a week
Lifts turn 10:00 to 15:30, with half-day tickets from 12:30 and night skiing on Fridays. The 2025/26 season ran through to 22 March 2026. Opening and closing dates move with the snowpack, so check with the hill before you drive out.

Without more help, there may be no local ski hill
That is the club's own line, from its 2022 appeal for volunteers. Nothing here happens unless people turn up — and there is a job for whatever you are good at.
